Our Mission Statement
Calling all to faithful living, Christ-like love, and spiritual growth;
Bringing God’s transforming power to self, family, community and the world.
The oldest church in the village, Hammond United Methodist, was organized August 14, 1876. The church had 23 charter members, and was part of the Lovington, Lake City, Hammond circuit.
Today Hammond UMC is still a vital participant in the community and its activities. A mission minded church Hammond UMC helps to support the ministries of:
Faith In Action, God’s Shelter of Love, Atwood-Hammond Christmas Needy Fund, Hammond Community Boosters, Habitat for Humanity, Chaddock Children’s Foundation, Lessie Bates Davis Neighbor House, Shalyn’s Hope, Midwest Mission Distribution Center, as well as missionary support and other community needs.
Come and See how the love of Jesus is transforming the world through a small rural church.
